Batavia,NY : Woman killed in dump truck crash on November, Tuesday 7th 2017

A Delevan woman was killed when her car was hit by a dump truck early this morning, state police said.
Troopers said Lisa L. Toland, 56, was turning left onto Route 16 from Stanburg Avenue and into the path of the truck.
The truck struck Toland’s car broadside. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the 6:30 a.m. crash. The truck operator, who was not identified, was taken to Erie County Medical Center with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police said.
Mrs. Toland was the stepmother of SSG Robert A. Toland of Sheldon. He died in 2009 after a battle with cancer and was serving with the U.S. Army Warrior Transition Unit at West Point at the time.
