Foley, MN : Milaca man dead in 2nd fatal Foley collision on Monday, February 6, 2017

A 70-year-old Milaca man died after crossing the centerline of Minnesota Highway 23 and colliding with another vehicle at about 1:55 p.m. Monday.

Rocke Thomas Rowland was eastbound on Highway 23 when he crashed head-on into a westbound Kia near the intersection of Eighth Avenue.

The Kia was driven by Terry Allen Vedders, 62, of Milaca. Vedders was taken to St. Cloud Hospital and was in serious condition as of 5 p.m. on Tuesday, according to Elly Wilson, a communication specialist with the hospital.

State Patrol Sgt. Jesse Grabow said Tuesday morning it is still unknown what caused Rowland to cross the centerline of the road. The accident remains under investigation, Grabow said.
