Livonia, MI : Bicyclist left to die in Livonia hit-and-run; police seek tips on May 20th 2014
Dennis Ryan was riding his bike home from his son's house Monday when he was hit by a car at Schoolcraft and Newburgh roads in Livonia.
The driver left him there to die.
"We're all in shock right now. We can't believe it," said Ryan's brother, Austin Ryan.
Austin said his brother loved to spend time with family.
"He had a son. He had five nieces and nephews. Everybody loved him," he said. "You are not going to find somebody with a bigger heart."
The 64-year-old rode his bike a few miles to his son's house Monday and never returned home. He was hit about 9:30 p.m. The driver kept their foot on the gas, leaving Ryan in the road.
He was rushed to the hospital by EMS where he was pronounced dead.
