Philadelphia, PA : Two officers injured in Philadelphia crash early Wednesday, April 27, 2016
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Authorities say two police officers in an unmarked pickup truck were hurt and a witness became a carjacking victim in a crash in Philadelphia.
It started early Wednesday when a black sedan slammed into the officers' truck and took off.
Police say a witness was apparently frightened and jumped out of his sport utility vehicle without putting it in park. That's when two men jumped in his SUV and took off. Police say the vehicle eventually slammed into another car and the carjackers fled on foot.
It's unclear if the carjackers were related to the original crash.
Police say the two officers were taken to a hospital, where they're expected to be treated and released.
