Mount Holly, N.C : Husband and wife, both 94, killed in a car wreck in Mount Holly on Monday, November 24, 2014

An elderly Mount Holly couple was killed Monday when their vehicle went off a road and ended up in a creek. The incident happened just before 2 p.m. near the 800 block of Charlotte Avenue. Investigators say a car, being driven by 94-year-old James Wesley Frazier, was traveling East when the vehicle left the right side of the roadway and went down an embankment, landing in a creek. James Frazier's wife, 94-year-old Kate Ledford Frazier, was also in the vehicle. One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other died a short time later at Caromont Regional Medical Center. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
