Cranston, RI : One man died in motorcycle crash on early Friday morning June 27th 2014
Police have identified the young man killed in a motorcycle accident on the southbound off-ramp of Route 10 early Friday morning as 21-year-old Joseph R. Ardente of Cranston.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Ardente, of 575 Dyer Ave., lost control of his motorcycle around 1:18 a.m. on the off-ramp from Route 10 south to Garfield Avenue, not far from the Cranston Police Department .
Ardente was traveling at a high rate of speed and lost control of his motorcycle on the off ramp to Garfield Avenue, according to a news release from the Cranston police. He was not wearing a helmet.
No other vehicles were involved. The investigation is being conducted by an accident reconstructionist from the Cranston Police Department.
