China Grove, NC : Four injured including two children in a bad crash on Highway 29 in China Grove on Thursday, Oct 22, 2015

Three of the four people, including two children who were injured in a bad crash on Highway 29 in China Grove on Thursday are now out of the hospital.

The crash happened just after 10:30. China Grove Police are continuing to investigate, but they say a silver Hyundai driven by Krishna Rittenhouse pulled out from Liberty Road and was struck by a 1971 Chevrolet El Camino driven by Donnie Frye.

Frye remains in the hospital and has undergone several surgeries, according to China Grove Police officers who spoke with members of Frye's family. Rescue workers had to cut the roof from the car and do extensive work to get Frye free from the vehicle.

Rittenhouse and her two children, ages 1 and 3, have both been treated for injuries and released.

"My daughter did have plastic surgery done on her face given she got the blunt of the force from him hitting us. My son has no injuries and I am banged up pretty bad but still here thank God," Rittenhouse said.

Friends of Rittenhouse have set up a fund raising page in order to help her with bills.

"I am a single mom and full time student so paying for a new car isn't financially possible. From what I have heard the other man is in ICU and stable," Rittenhouse added. "God was with us all yesterday."

On her Facebook page Rittenhouse thanked friends for the support and prayers, and also urged them to pray for Frye.

No charges have been filed.

China Grove Police Chief Eddie Kluttz said that investigators are working to reconstruct the accident. Chief Kluttz said that work would take a few more days.
