Boulder ,CO : Boulder Canyon Closed after car crashes into snowplow on Monday ,May 11th 2015

Boulder Canyon Drive has been re-opened after the road was closed for about four hours this morning just east of Nederland after a car crashed into a snowplow, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

The crash occurred on Boulder Cnayon Drive at the 28 mile-marker near Barker Reservoir at 6:11 a.m. today, according to Colorado State Patrol Trooper Nate Reid.

Reid said an Acura heading south lost control and crashed into a snow plow headed north. The driver of the Acura, a male, was airlifted with moderate injuries, while the snowplow driver was uninjured.

Boulder Canyon Drive was closed for investigation but re-opened at about 10:15 a.m., according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
