SAN JOSE, CA : 15-year-old boy dies in San Jose car collision on Wednesday, 7th June 2023

A 15-year-old pedestrian died Wednesday morning following a fatal car collision overnight in San Jose.

The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner identified the victim as Justin Estira of San Jose. He was a student at Willow Glen High School, the San Jose Unified School District said.

"This year has been extremely challenging for our community, and our thoughts are with the family and friends of the student," the district said in a message.

Police tweeted about the Rinconada Drive collision at 1:36 a.m. and later in the day provided new details into the crash.
