JO DAVIESS COUNTY, IL : 1 person injured in Jo Daviess County crash on Monday, 22nd April 2024

A man was airlifted to Rockford after a crash in Jo Daviess County.

The Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened Monday afternoon in rural Scales Mound, Ill. around 4:30 p.m.

Andrew Gray, 22, was driving too fast when he missed a turn and lost control of his SUV, deputies said. Gray crashed into a tree.

Deputies have not released an update on Gray’s condition, but he is currently being treated for his injuries, deputies said.

The crash remains under investigation.
