SOUTH FULTON, GA : 1 killed, 1 seriously injured after car collides with tree in South Fulton on Tuesday, 5th December 2023

A fatal crash had a portion of Cascade Palmetto Highway shut down in both directions in South Fulton for hours Tuesday morning.

The South Fulton Police Department says at 3 a.m., officers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Cascade Palmetto Highway near Northcutt Road. The preliminary investigation revealed that the vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree.

The driver died at the scene and one passenger suffered serious injuries, police say.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
