Cranston, R.I : Five people injured after a rollover crash on Plainfield Pike early Saturday morning on January 30, 2016
One teenager is in serious condition and four others were injured after an early morning rollover crash.
Police say the vehicle was going over the speed limit when it crashed around 12:30 Saturday morning on Plainfield Pike. The car struck a telephone pole before rolling over.
Eighteen-year-old Danielle Fortin, of Johnston, and a 17-year-old Cranston girl were thrown from the vehicle.
Police say the 17-year-old girl suffered broken bones and a brain bleed. She was in serious condition Sunday morning.
Fortin and two other passengers, a 16-year-old Johnston boy and 18-year-old Hannah Pine, of Johnston, suffered minor injuries.
The driver, 18-year-old Blake Carpenter, of Johnston, faces charges including driving to endanger resulting in personal injury and other offenses.
Police haven't released the identities of the minors.
Police don't believe the teens were drinking.
