Officials say a man has been killed after the street sweeper he was driving overturned on an interstate in Baltimore County.
Maryland State Police say 61-year-old Paul Phillip Pollutra of Westminster died at the scene Sunday afternoon on Interstate 83 in Hunt Valley.
Police say Pollutra was driving the 2007 Sterling sweeper to a work site when he veered off the road and rolled over.
The wreck temporarily shut down all northbound lanes of the roadway.
Authorities say Pollutra was driving the sweeper for C.J. Miller LLC, a Hampstead construction company.
Police are investigating whether there was a problem with the sweeper or an error by the driver.
