VICTORVILLE, CA : No injuries reported in 3-vehicle collision on Nisqualli Road on Tuesday, December 6th, 2016
No injuries were reported in a multi-vehicle collision Tuesday afternoon that resulted in one car occupied by two people overturning.
San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department deputies responded to the collision on Nisqualli Road, just west of 11th Avenue, a little before 1 p.m. and found three vehicles involved, according to Dep. Chris Dekeyrel.Dekeyrel said a eastbound gold Nissan Maxima attempted a lane change into the middle turning lane and struck a green Nissan Frontier. The Maxima then "clipped" a red Ford F-450 also traveling eastbound.
Dekeyrel said none of the occupants was injured.
The eastbound No. 2 lane of Nisqualli Road was blocked and eastbound traffic was using the middle turning lane to pass the scene.
Matthew Banks said he was attempting to turn onto southbound 11th Avenue when the collision occurred. His vehicle overturned in the collision.
Banks, who lives near the crash scene, says he doesn't remember much because it all happened "so fast."
"I just remember unbuckling my seat belt and making sure I held onto to my girlfriend in the passenger's seat," Banks said.
Banks and the other involved parties shared a moment together talking about the collision. Some tears were shed, too."I've felt lost lately and have really turned to God," Banks said. "I look at this as an act of God. I've been asking him to give me a sign that he's with me. I don't care that my car is damaged. This was him letting me know he's with me. All I have is a cut on my elbow. My girlfriend has a cut on her foot. No one else is injured. This is God, man."
Dekeyrel said the collision remained under investigation.
