WILLIAMSBURG, IA : 80-year-old killed in Iowa County collision with semi after running stop sign on Wednesday, 5th January 2022

The driver of a car that hit a semi after running a stop sign coming off of I-80 in Iowa County was killed Wednesday morning.

An Iowa State Patrol reports shows that the accident happened just after 10 a.m. on Wednesday.

State Patrol says that 80-year-old Robert Coulter, of Milan, Illinois, was exiting I-80 on the exit ramp northwest of Williamsburg and failed to stop at the stop sign on M Ave. Coulter then collided in the intersection with a semi driven by David Schuman traveling southbound on M Ave and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A third vehicle that was stopped at the stop sign waiting to turn was hit by debris from the collision.
