FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, OH : Woman injured in crash with semi dies at hospital on S.R. 571 in Darke County on Sunday, 17th February 2019

A woman injured in a crash on S.R. 571 in Darke County has died.

The Darke County Sheriff's Office identifies the victim as 19-year-old Emily Lear from
Piqua.

The crash happened just after 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday February 12th on S.R. 571 near Gettysburg Pitsburg Road.

The Darke County Sheriff's Office says an SUV driving west on S.R. 571 crashed into the back of a semi disabled on the side of the road.

CareFlight took the woman, later identified as Lear, to Miami Valley Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition. Lear died on Friday, February 16th at the hospital.

The driver of the semi was not injured.
