RICHMOND, VA : Vehicle crash on I-95 causes 2.5-mile backup on Thursday, 22nd June 2023

A vehicle crash on Interstate 95 caused delays for drivers in Richmond on Thursday morning.

The crash was first reported by VDOT around 8:30 a.m. and was located on I-95 South near the I-195 interchange.

According to VDOT, the south right shoulder was closed. At one point, there was a 2.5-mile-long backup.
