Delaware County , OH : Three killed and one injured when car hits tree on early Saturday ,June 20th 2015

Three people were killed in a crash early Saturday in Delaware County.

Trent Curran, 12, was a backseat passenger in a Toyota Camry driven by 25-year-old Darthel Jones when the car went off the right side of a highway and hit a tree just before 1 a.m., according to the Delaware Post of the State Highway Patrol.

Both Curran and Jones died at the scene.

Another boy, 14, was ejected from the vehicle. His body was found in floodwater several hours after the crash, said Lt. Mike Akers, patrol watch desk commander. The Dispatch could not confirm the boy’s name.

Kristen Delong, 35, was flown by medical helicopter to Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center with serious injuries. Her condition was not available Saturday.

The patrol said Jones was driving the Camry northbound on Rt. 203, south of Norton Road in Radnor Township, when he lost control of the car on a curve.

Neither of the adults in the car was wearing a seat belt, but Curran was, the patrol said.
