Fairbanks, AK : One dead, one injured in Tour bus crash near Mile 173, Parks Highway Friday morning on September 5, 2014

A passenger bus operated by Princess Tours rolled on the Parks Highway Friday about 8 a.m., killing one of the three people onboard, according to Alaska State Troopers. The bus crashed at Mile 173, near Hurricane Gulch. The bus driver initially reported that the two other occupants were seriously injured. First responders declared one person dead. Spokeswoman Megan Peters says troopers are providing no other crash details until next of kin of the dead passenger is notified. The bus is not blocking the highway, but the road may be closed periodically today while troopers investigate. No further information was available Friday morning.
