PORTLAND, OR : At least one killed in I-5 crash in Tualatin on Monday, 12th October, 2020

A man was killed in a collision on Interstate-5 in Tualatin Monday evening, prompting lane closures as police responded to investigate.

A Freightliner semi-truck was heading north around 8 p.m. when it struck a man, identified as 47-year-old Eric Laursen. Police say Laursen was walking across the lanes when the crash occurred.

Sadly, Laursen suffered fatal injuries and died.

All northbound lanes of the I-5 were shut down between SW Nyberg and SW Lower Boones Ferry Road as police investigated. After several hours and lengthy traffic delays, the lanes reopened.
