LUDLOW, MA : One person was killed and two others injured in a rollover crash on Saturday, June 10, 2017
One person was killed and two others injured in a Saturday rollover crash on the Massachusetts Turnpike in Ludlow, according to state police.
Troopers with the Massachusetts State Police barracks in Charlton responded to reports of a one-vehicle crash on the westbound side of Interstate 90 just before mile marker 57 -- near the Ludlow Service Plaza.
The crash appears to have occurred when a 2004 Cadillac Escalade, driven by a 44-year-old Worcester man, lost control, veered left into the median and then veered right, causing it to roll over, state police said.
Two passengers were ejected from the vehicle as a result of the crash: an unidentified person, who was pronounced dead at the scene, and a 66-year-old Worcester woman, who was transported to Baystate Medical Center with serious injuries, according to police.
