Madison,WI : Deer injures driver in Vernon County crash on March, Wednesday 21st 2018

A Viroqua man was injured Wednesday when a deer ran into the side of his car, deploying the side air bags which caused the man's injury.

Eric Tollackson was taken to Gundersen St. Joseph's Hospital in Hillsboro following the crash reported at about 1:45 p.m. on Highway 33/82 in the town of Hillsboro, the Vernon County Sheriff's Office said.

The deer hit the driver door and front quarter panel of the car, the report said.

Assisting at the scene were the Hillsboro Police, Fire and EMS Departments and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
