Oklahoma City, OK : Two men died in wreck on May, Monday 8th 2017
Two men died Monday in wrecks on state roads, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
Robert H. Flake, 46, Sand Springs
About 3:50 p.m. Monday, Flake was driving a motorcycle on a Creek County road, about six miles west of Sapulpa. The motorcycle left the road and struck a mailbox, troopers said.
Flake was pronounced dead at the scene, the patrol reported.
Darin Griffin, 39, Mannsville
Just after 1:10 p.m. Monday, Griffin was driving a car south on U.S. 177, about 10 miles south of Sulphur. The vehicle went left of center, struck an oncoming tractor-trailer and caught fire, troopers said.
Griffin, who was wearing a seat belt, died at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer was treated for his injuries at a local hospital and released, the patrol reported.
