ALLAMAKEE COUNTY, IA : Crash in Allamakee County leaves one injured on Monday, 26th February 2024

On February 26th, 2024, at 8:56 am, the Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office responded to the intersection of County Road X26 and Smithfield Drive for a report of a crash.

Investigators say a 2007 Chevy Impala was traveling southbound when it crossed the centerline and struck a 2019 Chevy Silverado that was traveling northbound.

The driver of the Impala was injured in the collision. They were airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. There is no word on their condition at this time.

The accident remains under investigation.
