Sacramento, CA : One motorcyclist died and a second one was seriously injured when they collided on Saturday, June 3, 2017

One motorcyclist died and a second one was seriously injured when they collided with a sedan in Lakeside Saturday night, authorities said.

The sedan driver also was injured.

The collisions occurred about 8:50 p.m. on Winter Gardens Boulevard at Gay Rio Drive. San Diego News Video said the sedan rear-ended the two motorcycles.

One of the motorcycle riders died at the site of the collision. The second rider and the car driver were taken by paramedics to a hospital. No information about their injuries was available.

Lakeside fire rigs had northbound lanes of Winter Gardens blocked and the California Highway Patrol was investigating.
