West Hartford, CT : Several injured in four-vehicle crash in West Hartford on Friday, 27th December, 2019

Several people were injured and taken to the hospital after a Friday afternoon four-vehicle crash in West Hartford, which involved two passenger vehicles, an armored truck and a tractor trailer, police said.
A sedan was driving north on South Main Street when it crashed into the back of a parked tractor trailer at about 3 p.m. Friday, according to West Hartford police’s Patrol Division.
After hitting the parked truck — which was not occupied — the sedan crossed into the southbound lane and hit an armored truck that was driving south, police said.
The driver of the armored truck attempted to avoid the collision with the sedan, but the evasive move caused the armored truck to roll into the northbound lane and strike an SUV.
The crash sent several people to the hospital, police said, although none of the injuries were life-threatening. A portion of South Main Street — between Ledgewood and Crestwood roads — was shut down for about two hours, and all of the vehicles except for the parked tractor trailer were towed had to be towed from the scene.
