Orlando, FL : Four people injured after a Trucks crash at Turnpike-I-4 interchange on Tuesday morning, March 8, 2016
A lumber truck went out of control on a turnpike-Interstate 4 exit ramp in the Orlando area this morning, crashing into another truck and shutting down a key highway connector.
Four people were injured, and that ramp is now closed.
The Florida Highway Patrol says it doesn't know when it will be reopened.
It's one that funnels traffic from Florida's Turnpike onto Interstate 4 and vice versa.
The accident happened about 5:45 a.m. when a semi-truck hauling lumber went out of control as it exited the turnpike. It hit a car hauler that was getting onto the turnpike from I-4.
There were two people in each truck. They were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Sgt. Kim Montes of the highway patrol.
The lumber truck overturned, spilling wood onto the road. That's one of the reasons for the shutdown.
