Roseburg , OR : 23- years old Motorcyclist killed in Collision after in Parking lot on Wednesday Morning , February 18th 2015

Authorities have identified the motorcyclist killed Wednesday morning in a collision on North Stewart Parkway as 23-year old Trevor Wayne Butler of Roseburg.

The Roseburg police and fire departments and Douglas County Fire District No. 2 ambulance crews responded to the collision shortly after 10 a.m. near North Renann Street in front of Sherm’s Thunderbird Market.

Once on scene, first responders discovered that Butler had been traveling north on Stewart Parkway on a motorcycle when he struck a 1987 Toyota pickup that was preparing to turn into the Sherm’s parking lot.

The pickup had been traveling south on Stewart Parkway and was in the center turn lane to make the turn.

Butler was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup, identified as Laura Lorraine Bidwell, 53, of Roseburg, was uninjured in the collision.

Stewart Parkway between Renann and Mercy Medical Center was reduced to one lane of traffic southbound and remained that way early this afternoon.
