Yakima, WA: Three men fled from the site of a deadly car crash in Toppenish on Saturday, 8th November 2014

The Yakima Sheriff's office says three men fled from the site of a deadly car crash in Toppenish. Sgt. Chad Peterschick says deputies found a 26-year-old man dead inside a car around 5 a.m. Saturday. He adds that a witness saw three men flee on foot from the scene of the crash. Two of them, a 30 and 34-year-old from Wapato, were found one mile away. The suspected driver was found hiding behind tall grass by a police dog. Peterschick says alcohol is believed to have been a contributing factor to the crash. The three men who fled from the car crash had minor injuries. The name of the men and the dead passenger were not released because their next of kin had not been notified.
