Milwaukee, WI : 46-year-old Woman hit, killed running across Milwaukee street early Wednesday morning, March 9, 2016

A 46-year-old woman was hit and killed while crossing a Milwaukee street early Wednesday morning.

The woman was "running" across W. Atkinson Ave in the 1400 block just before 3 a.m. when she was hit by the vehicle, Milwaukee police said in a news release.

The vehicle, a 2013 Ford Fusion, was driven by a 52-year-old woman, who remained at the scene. Police do not suspect alcohol as a factor in the crash.
