One person was killed and two others injured in a crash in Humphreys County Monday afternoon.

Officials said a single vehicle that crashed around 4 p.m. on I-40 West at mile marker 139.

The two injured were flown to nearby hospitals with serious injuries.

The cause of the crash was being investigated, and no identities were released.

The right lane of I-40 westbound was reopened after being closed for nearly two hours.
