St. Cloud, MN : 86-year-old man injured in SUV collision near Stearns County Road 141 on Saturday, August 6, 2016

An SUV-all-terrain vehicle collision sent an 86-year-old man to the hospital Saturday.

At about 2:45 p.m., a 2017 Honda ATV was crossing Minnesota Highway 15, according to a Minnesota State Patrol report. It was traveling from west to east near Stearns County Road 141.

A northbound 2015 Chevrolet Suburban struck the smaller vehicle, the report said. The collision sent Robert W. Winter, 86, of St. Cloud to the pavement, on which he hit his head, according to the report.

Thomas C. Swenson, 47, of St. Cloud was driving the SUV and was not injured, the report said.

The patrol said Winter's injuries were not life-threatening. Gold Cross Ambulance transported him away from the scene.

Stearns County Sheriff's Office provided assistance.
