LEHIGH, IA : A Lehigh man remains hospitalized with serious injuries after crash on Sunday, October, 8th 2017

A Lehigh man remains hospitalized with serious injuries after crashing his motorcycle Sunday night, according Sgt. Wes Niles, of the Iowa State Patrol.

Jacob McFarland, 36, was traveling south on East Hill Street in Lehigh when he lost control of the bike and crashed into the west ditch.

He was transported by ambulance to UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center before being airlifted to Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Another man was reportedly riding on another motorcycle in front of McFarland at the time of the crash.

That man was was not involved in the crash, according to Niles.

The Iowa State Patrol, Webster County sheriff’s deputies, Lehigh Volunteer Fire Department, Dayton Rescue, and UnityPoint Health responded.
