Three children were sent flying from a John Deere utility vehicle after it was struck by a passing car in Wooster on Friday afternoon.
The children were riding in the utility vehicle as it crossed from a field on Myers Road to a residential driveway across the street around 1:30 p.m. While it was in the roadway, police say a 1997 Toyota Camry hit the vehicle, sending it spinning and ejecting three of the kids.
The driver the Camry, an 18-year-old from West Salem, veered off the left side of Myers Road after hitting the kids, and hit a tree and a mailbox before he came to a stop in the road. Police say Murphy did not have a license and was not injured in the crash.

Police say alcohol and drugs are not believed to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
