Sheboygan, WI : 37-year-old woman died in a single-car crash on State Highway 23 in the Town of Greenbush on Monday, February 9, 2015

A 37-year-old Sheboygan woman died Monday when the vehicle she was driving left the road and struck a tree, according to the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office.

The crash was reported shortly after 10 a.m. on State Highway 23 east of Chicadee Drive in the Town of Greenbush, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

According to the release, the woman, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was westbound on Highway 23 when the vehicle entered the north ditch and traveled about 50 yards before striking the tree head-on.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and the crash remained under investigation, according to the release.
