Charlestown, RI : Police identify motorcyclist in Charlestown crash on Monday, 29th August, 2016

A head-on collision in Charlestown Monday resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.
According to police, a car traveling south on U.S. route 1 at approximately 4:11 pm, crossed the highway median and crashed head-on into a motorcycle heading northbound.
The 21-year-old motorcyclist has been identified as Thomas J. Hug, of Hopkinton, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 17-year-old driver, a Warwick native, and two 18-year-old passengers suffered only minor injuries.
Police conducted an investigation where they found open containers of alcohol and suspected marijuana in the damaged car.
The teenagers were taken to the Charlestown Police Department for questioning.
The 17-year-old driver is expected in court sometime Tuesday.
