COTTON VALLEY, LA : Haughton man killed in Bossier Parish crash on Wednesday, 11th October 2023

A Haughton man was killed early Wednesday in a one-vehicle crash, state police said.

The victim is identified as Chad Dupuis, 42. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash happened just before 5 a.m. on state Highway 529 north of state Highway 160. Troopers said Dupuis failed to make a curve, ran off the road and hit a tree.

Dupuis was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected.

Impairment is a suspected factor in this crash, troopers said.
