SPARKS, NV : A semi-truck that was involved in a hit-and-run crash on Thursday, August 3, 2017
Nevada Highway Patrol troopers are asking for the public's help locating a semi-truck that was involved in a hit-and-run crash along I-80 near the Mustang exit early Thursday morning.
Troopers were dispatched to a single-vehicle rollover on westbound I-80 between Lockwood and Patrick just after 5:30 a.m. on August 3.
Authorities say a good Samaritan stopped to render aid to the driver involved in the rollover and while their car was pulled over on the side of the interstate, a semi-truck travelling westbound struck both vehicles and fled the scene.
Troopers say the semi-truck has a red cab and white panel doors. The cab could have extensive right front damage and may have a grey paint transfer.
CareFlight was initially called to the scene of the crash, but was later canceled.
Both drivers involved were taken to a local hospital via ground ambulance with unknown injuries.
Two separate crash investigations are ongoing at this time.
If you know any additional information regarding this crash, you are asked to contact the Nevada Highway Patrol.
