Police arrested two men after a crash in South Burlington Thursday. They say one driver was drunk and his passenger assaulted an officer.
Mark Gaimari, 46, of Milton, was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs after a report of an accident on Shelburne Road just before 5:30 p.m. Thursday. He's due in court later this month.
Police say passenger Robert Williams, 23, of Winooski, was taken to the hospital because there was evidence he had just used drugs. And they say Williams assaulted an officer at the ER. He was arrested for simple assault on a law enforcement officer.
