TYLER, TX : 2 dead, child injured in Tyler car crash on Sunday, 15th September 2024

Two adults are dead, and one child is in critical condition after a car crash off Highway 271.

The victims, Tammy Gibney, 62, and Chelsea Askew, 39, both from Louisiana, were driving northeast on Highway 271 with an 11-year-old in the backseat.

According to the Tyler Police Department, a truck driving on FM 2015 pulled out in front of them at around 8:20 p.m. Both Gibney and Askew were pronounced dead at the scene.
