Immokalee, FL : Pedestrian killed in early Thursday morning crash on East Eustis Avenue and Gaunt Street in Immokalee on August 7, 2014

The Florida Highway Patrol says a pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle early Thursday morning in Immokalee. It happened on East Eustis Avenue and Gaunt Street at 6:44 a.m. According to troopers, a vehicle was going west on East Eustis Avenue. During that time, a pedestrian was walking west with the flow of traffice on the right side of the road. The pedestrian walking into the vehicle's path and was hit. The pedestrian was taken to North Collier Hospital and pronounced dead. Troopers are trying to identify the pedestrian. No charges have been filed.
