Peshtigo, WI : 76-year-old person Killed and Ambulance driver and attendent struck by Car on Tuesday ,February 10th 2015

The names of those involved in the fatal crash in Peshtigo, WI on Tuesday have been released.

According to the Marinette County Sheriff's Office, the driver who was killed has been identified as 76-year-old Norita A. Gifford of Peshtigo.

Thomas A. Bell, Jr., 57, of Escanaba was the driver of the ambulance that struck Gifford's car. Bell is being treated at Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette for non-life threatening injuries. Twenty-seven-year-old Andrew J. Metlzer, an ambulance attendant involved in the crash, was treated and released from the hospital.

The name of the female patient who was in the ambulance will not be released. She was taken to Bay Area Medical Center and later transported to a hospital in Green Bay.

The crash occurred on US-41 when Gifford pulled out from Access Road #3 in a four-door sedan and was struck broadside by the Delta County ambulance. Gifford was pronounced dead at the scene. Her dog, who was in the car at the time of the crash, was also killed.

The crash is still being investigated by the Marinette County Sheriff's Office, Wisconsin State Patrol, and the Marinette County Coroners' Office.
