HOLLANDALE, WI : 13-year-old boy from Barneveld dead after utility vehicle crash on Thursday, 6th April 2023

A 13-year-old boy from Barneveld died Thursday after a utility vehicle crash, Iowa County Sheriff's officials said.

The boy was reported missing from a farm on Mill Dam Road in the Township of Moscow on Thursday. During the search, the boy was found near a John Deere utility vehicle in the east branch of the Pecatonica River.

According to the Iowa County Sheriff's Office, and investigation showed the boy was driving on Burma Road when he lost control, struck a tree and fell into the river.

He was taken to UW Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

An investigation is ongoing and no further information, including the name of the boy, will be released.
