Monore , NC : Man accused of causing Major crash after stealing appliances near Highway 51 on Thursday Morning , December 11th 2014

A man accused a Major crash while he was deseparately to get away with a car full of stolen kitchen appliances, according to Monroe police. Deputies and officers said they followed Ezell Adams from a Walmart in Monroe until he wrecked on Highway 74 near Highway 51 in Matthews on Thursday morning. The suspect's car had what appeared to be blenders and coffee makers stuffed into the back seat of the gray Pontiac Bonneville that police said he was driving when he left the store. According to Monroe police, he stole about $2,500 worth of items on two separate occasions from the same Walmart last month. A call went out to find the car after a store employee was able to write down the car's license plate number. Union County sheriff's deputies chased the car and alerted Matthews police the car was headed west. Deputies ended their pursuit, but Stallings and Matthews police spotted the car and followed it until they said the driver quickly cut across traffic on Highway 74 in an attempt to get away. source : Police: Man accused of causing crash after stealing appliances
