JONES COUNTY, MS : 3 injured in 2-vehicle crash on U.S. 84 in Jones Co. on Monday, 15th July 2024

Emergency officials responded to a two-vehicle accident that injured three people in Jones County Monday morning.

According to Jones County Fire Council Public Information Officer, Dana Bumgardner, Powers, M&M and Rustin volunteer fire departments responded to a vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 84 East near Jeff Byrd Road around 7:30 a.m.

When the first responding personnel arrived, they found a pickup truck and a sedan blocking the highway in the westbound lanes.

Bumgardner said three people were injured, with two having minor-moderate injuries, and the driver of the sedan having critical injuries.
