Duluth, MN : South Range man dies following ATV crash in the Town of Oakland Saturday, March 18, 2017

A 28-year-old South Range man has died following an all-terrain vehicle crash over the weekend, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday.

Andrew Mikrot died Sunday in a Duluth hospital, a day after he was injured in a single-vehicle crash, according to the sheriff's office. Mikrot was airlifted to the hospital after the crash, which was reported around 2:30 p.m. Saturday on Clara Barton Road in the Town of Oakland.

The incident remains under investigation by the sheriff's office and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
