Murfreesboro, TN : 2 motorcyclists injured in crash on SR 840 in Rutherford County on Sunday, May 1, 2016

Two motorcyclists were injured in a crash on State Route 840 in Rutherford County over the weekend.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol report, a tire on one of the vehicles locked up, causing it to hit the other motorcycle.

The vehicles collided and slid to the shoulder of the highway near Almaville Road.

Carlette Smith, 49, and Craig Lluewell Bell, 55, were both injured.

Drugs and alcohol are not believe to have played a role in the crash, according to the THP report.
