DECATUR, AL : 1 killed in wreck near the Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge headquarters on Wednesday, 31st July 2019
A three-vehicle crash on Point Mallard Parkway left one person dead on Wednesday.
The crash happened near the Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge headquarters, just south of Country Club Road, shortly before 11 a.m.
Police and the county coroner identified the victim as 27-year-old -year-old Malloree Teague. The cause of death was blunt force trauma.
Police say Teague was going south on Point Mallard Parkway, also known as Highway 67, when she hydroplaned and lost control of her Dodge Challenger. She crossed into oncoming traffic and hit an Infinity sport utility vehicle before being hit in the driver’s door by a Chevrolet Silverado in the northbound lanes.
Teague was pronounced dead at Decatur Morgan Hospital shortly after.
