Two dead in early morning crash on Oakland California
All lanes of southbound Interstate Highway 880 in Oakland have reopened after a deadly crash blocked the roadway for more than four hours this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident, involving at least two vehicles, was reported around 12:50 a.m. on southbound Highway 880 between Fifth and 10th avenues, blocking all lanes, the CHP said.Two men have died in the crash, according to the Alameda County coroner's bureau. The deceased have not yet been identified.It is unknown if anyone else was injured in the crash.A Sig-alert was issued around 1:20 a.m. It was lifted at 5:30 a.m. when the crash was cleared from the roadway, the CHP said.Further details about the crash were not immediately available.
