Berlin ,VT : Wrong-way driver arrested after her car off the road and struck another along I-89 on Sunday ,April 12th 2015
Vermont State Police say a woman driving the wrong-way on I-89 in Berlin forced one car off the road and struck another before being arrested.
Officials say 23-year-old Savannah Lapan was going south in the northbound lanes and forced a car off the road. Police were able to catch up with the Vershire woman and used spikes to try to stop the car. They say Lapan continued, eventually hitting another car between Sharon and Royalton.
She was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, attempting to elude, negligent operation and leaving the scene of an accident. She will be in court Monday.
